I Wanna Thank You

This will be a short one. To everyone who has followed this blog from the jump, thank you from the bottom of my eviscerated* heart. I started writing it over 2.5 months ago as a way to claw myself out of the deepest, blackest hole I had ever stumbled into, and while I have discouraged and/or prevented comments on my posts for reasons many of you know, the number of people—friends, acquaintances and total strangers—who have reached out by IM and email and text and on Facebook to tell me how much they admire my writing and my bravery and to encourage me to keep braying into the void has been staggering.

It's not an exaggeration to say that without my family, my friends and you, dear readers, I would not likely by typing this right now. You have given me the love and confidence in myself and my writing to keep me thrashing through the thickets. And to all the hate readers, I thank you, as well. I know there are a lot of you and I even know some of your names. The fact that you can't quit me and that my writing keeps drawing you back just confirms I must be doing right. Pull up a chair. All are welcome here.

*I realize hearts are not viscera, but the feeling is visceral, so I'm going with it.
